Q&A: What are the best shoes to wear for free running or Parkour?
I am pretty good at free running and i have gotten worse and worse as my traction went down. Figures, i was using skate shoes, thats all i had.

skate shoes actually have pretty good traction, but they’re fast to wear away. What I usually look for is a shoe that shares the characteristics of a skateboarding shoe sole. Nice, grippy rubber is important, but what you want is a flat, one piece sole with which to use as much traction as possible. Getting something with a lot of outsets might seem like a good idea, but concrete doesn’t really allow for tread to sink in. Parkourpedia has an article on shoes that you could check out.
