Q&A: should a person with pale skin walk around in sandals or shorts?
I have a mixture of blond with red tinges in my hair with fair skin with freckles….people when I wear shorts and sandals (not everyone) but some really do stare at my paleness and comment. It makes me feel alienated. I just have not given in to the norm of having to have a tan. What do you all think?

The pictures have nothing to do with the content!!

I’m pretty pale as well and hate tanning. However, my legs look like paper after the harsh winter months, so I do use a bit of gradual self-tanner from Nivea – it makes you look healthier after just one use. If you’re not into that, just shave and moisturize really well, to make your gams look smooth and pretty and even defined and contoured. Good luck!

It’s not your fault that you have pale skin!! Yes, tan skin looks “better” but don’t wear jeans and sneakers because of what people think! If someone says something to you just say “I can’t help it if I have pale skin, if you have sucha big problem with it then fix it!” Haha you could certainly try tanning a little bit and you might change your mind and decide you do like it! But best of luck!

I see where you’re coming from…some people just do NOT tan ![]()
Of course you should continue wearing shorts and sandals, I just have a little advice. Don’t wear white. It will blend in with your skin. Haha hope this helps you, you sound like you have nice skin anyway. Don’t listen to people.

honey beautiful just as you are. I have really really pale skin also so i use Jergen’s NAtural Glow lotion and also Nivea Tanning Lotion. If someone asks just say you have naturally pale skin and you can’t help it.
