Mark 11:8 Many people spread their cloaks on the road, and others spread leafy branches that they had cut in the fields.
They spread their cloaks on the ground so that Jesus, and the colt he was riding on, would not touch the dirt of the ground. We so often try to keep God clean, keep God away from the dirt and the grime of this world. Yet Christ was walking right into the mud and the muck of our sin. And continues to do so. God enters into the dirt of our lives… whether from our own sin or the sin of others… and makes us clean.
