If you’ll notice, not every definition of the word requires that it be sexual. A woman can have a shoe fetish without being aroused sexually by them.

sweetie, fetishes are sexual in nature… besides, even Imelda Marcos only had thousands of pairs and she was labelled “obsessesed”… so a million shoes would put you in a whole ‘nother level.

like you said, it’s a more harmless fetish–it’s a little healthier than guys who really wanna get the shoes off of you, rather than the pants (only in some cases, of course). hope i helped!

A fetish is when someone is sexually aroused by an object or a body part, such as shoes, whips, legs, feet, etc., and uses it for sexual gratification. Some men and women have fetishes. It’s not restricted to any one gender.
But someone who continually thinks about something, e.g. shoes, etc. for non-sexual reasons and perhaps wants to stop but can’t, has an “obsession”.

Maybe she’s just an avid shoe collector. “Fetish” has a different connotation from “collector”. If it doesn’t affect her life and if she functions well in society and if the collecting doesn’t endanger her emotional, social, and economic well-being (meaning, can she afford to have all these shoes?) then it’s innocent enough and don’t worry about it.
If, however, this collection has taken over her life in some way that’s deleterious, then it’s a problem that a psychologist or psychoanalyst would have to help her deal with.
