Question: Ex- Fiancée Refuses to Return Belongings & Money?
my fiancée of two years and i split up; needless to say hes a lying cheating jackass
but he owes me money from a cell phone bill that was in both of our names,
the bill totals over 900 dollars, because he refused to pay for it,
owes me 192 dollars for a bus ticket that i never saw money back from
& also has my personal belonging such as:
a bedding set
handmade blanket
clothes
shoes
DVDs
CDs
PS2
Video Games
Perfume
Jewelry
I have made numerous attempts to get my things back,
I even brought in a neutral party to pick up the things he has of mine, and he still refuses.
What do i need to do to get all my money & things back.
I also have receipts for the cell phone bill and bus ticket.
Everything else he threw the receipts away so i couldn’t have them.
These were all things that were bought with my personal money.
He never paid for a damn thing.
yeah he signed invoices saying he would pay for his part of the cell phone bill & the bus ticket. im not so much worried about the personal belonging, mostly the money cause im having his baby. & that takes money and he wont pay for anything. & im thinking adoption is her best bet, because im not ready for a kid and obviously hes not if hes out screwing around.

You should be more concerned with having the guy out of your life than the items and bills. Decide if it’s worth the frustration, because he has absolutely no motivation to help you out with this stuff.

Learn a valuable lesson in this: Don’t put your name with anyone on a contract ie: cell phone, or rental agreement anything like that. Keep it individual for now on.
The personal belongings well forget it. You can try to collect from small claims court but honestly all you will do is drag this out………let him go and write off this stuff and move on. Learn from it.

Neutral party being the police??? If not, give them a call. They will send an officer to the house with you to collect your things.
As far as the phone bill…. A judge will tell you “tough luck” on that one. The bus ticket… will be a hard sell too… But you can try. Hopefully you have something with his signature on it stating he’ll pay for it. But you can file a claim in small claims court.

Think of it this way, if you married the slug you he would have cost you a whole lot more.
You can take him to court over it but frankly I think I’d key his car instead…Oh OH…was that my inside voice?
Cell phone- you just learned a valuable lesson
2.00 bus ticket- he’ll say it was a gift
Stuff- maybe go there with a few relatives when you know he’s home and “insist” on getting it all. But really, it’s stuff, let it go.

If you lived with him you can ask the police to escort you to reclaim your belongings, as for the money take him to small claims court or go on the Judge Judy show so that the world can see what a SOB he really is! You need to be prepared with recites and bank statements to prove what you paid for and what he owes you for, if you can try to get e-mails from him admitting what he owes you for.
Take him to small claims court. It’s very brave of you to make a decision to put up the child for adoption. It sounds like he was just a coward who bailed at the thought of responsibility. If you change your mind and decide to keep your baby make sure to file for child support. Your child will need it and it will also give your ex a nice swift kick to his balls. I would never suggest to keep the baby for that reason alone but it’s a nice bonus to being there for your child. He’ll be reminded of his poor judgment for the next 18 years.
Get a civil stand by if you lived there and the police will help you get your belongings from that pissant jerk! Just describe them and the police will help you get your things back from that loser! Cash is hard to prove. From now on keep your money on a debit card and keep the password to yourself. Just make a list and a description of your things and call the cops when he is at home! If you have TVs and electronics it is hard to prove without reciepts.
Take him to small claims court. If you can’t do that then consider it a hard lesson learned.
