Q&A: Do you think “shoes” are an important part of an outfit?
I just saw a question about shoes so this question popped in my head. And one time I overheard this girl who said ” I don’t give a sh*t about shoes. The outfit is more important.” But in my opinion she dresses okay but her shoes kill the outfit. I think shoes are sort of a big part of your outfit. What do you think?

I don’t think you need to have a pair of shoes to go with every outfit. But that doesn’t mean wear tennis shoes with nice clothes. Usually a pair of brown, black, and white flats, a few pairs of flip flops usually cover it, even though most girls including me have a few more =]

shoes make the outfit.
if you have you’re wearing a cute party dress or a gorgeous evening gown… but wear it a pair of sneakers (no matter how nice), the outfit is not going to look right.
or even if you wear a prom dress with flip flops… it ruins the look.

i think so too b/c they matter…but they aren’t always looked at first..if the shoes relle dont go then they’ll kill the outfit..but otherwise..its lyk a acessory

I think they’re important, but they’re not the most important aspect. I mean, honestly, if you were wearing a pretty white floral skirt with a cute cap-sleeved blouse, a pair of red nikes would kill the outfit.
However, if you wore a pair of white converse with the outfit, it wouldn’t be that bad.
If you have a pair of killer shoes but a horrendous outfit, then people are obviously going to notice the outfit first. But, if you wear a nice outfit with horrendous shoes, people will compliement you on the outfit before they notice the shoes.

I rarely notice somebody’s shoes but I do notice when they put words in quotations for no apparent reason.

usually i dont care. like, if im just bumming around town, all i need is my Adios or these funky plaid flats i have,and im ready to roll.
if im dressed up or want to feel fancy, then yeah, the right shoes can add alot to an outfit.
