Q&A: Do I need to buy a pair of dedicated “shower sandals”?
I’m going to be a freshman in college, so I’ll be sharing a shower and bathroom with my whole floor. I was planning on using my rubber flip-flops as shower sandals, because they’re waterproof, and I can just stick them in the washing machine. My sister says that that’s a bad idea, because they’ll get gross enough from the shower that I won’t want to wear them as regular flip-flops. What do you think (hopefully from personal experience)?

just use old flip flops!! (i had to use a shower at camp that was kinda wierd cause every other girl used it!!)
do not reuse the flip flops!!

Your friend is totally right. Trust me. Within a week, your sandals will be disgusting. Plus, the plastic of the flip flops would most likely get destroyed in a washing machine… and the smell wouldn’t come out. Go to CVS and get a cheap pair for the showers.

couple bucks for a pair of flip flops at walmart, and viola….u can keep your feet protected from the gross bacterias, that are lingering in a public shower. yesssssss indeed get a pair of dedicated shower sandals. and hopefully you have enough sense to not leave them in the bathroom so others wont use them…ewwwwwww

You definitely need a pair that are designated for that use only…college is scary enough without the prospect of foot funk.
Be sure that these are washed weekly as well and do not wear them for public use!!!
